The Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering program (Ph.D. EEE) would require students to make an original contribution to the fundamental knowledge in the field through dissertation, which is expected to take about a year for full-time students and about two years for part-time students. Full-time students are expected to complete the requirements in two years and part-time students in three years. In the Doctor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering program (D.Eng. EEE), on the other hand, students are expected to address an engineering problem of substance and to develop a solution in a creative and distinguished manner through dissertation. The dissertation is expected to take about a year for full-time students and about two years for part-time students.
