UPEEEI launches fEEEdback, official mobile app

The UP Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (UP EEEI) has launched fEEEdback, its official mobile app.

The UP EEEI mobile app was showcased during the reception of the EEEI Building 2 Inauguration which was held in the High Voltage Laboratory on 19 March 2015.

The fEEEdback is a magazine-format mobile app which contains information about the Institute, its faculty members and its research laboratories. This form of information portal (aside from the existing EEEI website) aims to encourage students to be informed and to get involved with the Institute’s activities. The app allows users to interactively navigate by “flipping the pages” by swiping a finger in the screen. This version 1 of fEEEdback app requires iOS 8.0 or later versions, and is also compatible to iPad.

Developers of the app are undergraduate students from the Ubiquitous Computing Laboratory (UCL), Mr. Josen de Leon and Mr. Romelio Tavas, Jr., headed by Dr. Rowel Atienza.

The fEEEdback also had its soft launching during the End of Term Report of Dr. Joel Joseph Marciano, Jr., and the presentation of Dr. John Richard Hizon’s Statement of Position as the incoming director, held on February 16, 2015.

“Websites are so yesterday; we should have an app,” said Dr. Marciano during fEEEdback’s soft launching.
