Four papers from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD-EEEI) were presented in the recent 6th AUN/SEED-Net Regional Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering held on 4-5 March 2014 at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
From at least 50 papers accepted for presentation in the conference, papers from UPD-EEEI won two out of the three best paper awards. The outstanding papers from UPD-EEEI are:
- “An Implementation of a Vibration-Based Structural Damage Localization Using Wireless Sensor Networks on a Model Cantilever Beam"

Faculty and students in UPD-EEEI regularly present research papers in various international conferences and symposia every year. These enable effective dissemination and exchange of recent research outputs and provide opportunities to establish mutually beneficial collaboration. The Regional Conferences are organized and supported by the AUN/SEED-Net program in its aim to advance engineering education and research in the ASEAN region through collaboration and solidarity.
