Three graduates of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute of the University of the Philippines Diliman (EEEI-UPD) placed in the top ten in the March 2014 Electronics Engineering (ECE) board exam.
Raphael Victor Luna Canseco was ranked third with a grade of 84.90 percent. Jan Vincent Tapia Torres was at sixth with 82.40 and Joed Abagat Prades made it at 10th place with 81.80 percent.
UP was named as the top performing school with a 100 percent passing rate. As per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010, the citation is given to universities with 10 or more examinees and with at least 80 percent passing percentage.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Electronics Engineering released the full list of passers last March 7. This year’s national passing rate is at 35.24%, after 907 out of 2,574 examinees made the cut.
