Read her full interview and get to know one of this year's #EmpoweredWomenofUPEEEI:

How do women make an impact in your chosen career and industry?

There have always been many women in the companies and industries I've worked in, starting with IT consulting firms, then Sun Life. Sun Life is a very gender-neutral company, we don't even ask sex, age, religion, etc in the application forms, so we have been able to benefit from the richness of diversity. Half the executives are women, and just like the men, they have made significant impacts on the company. I don't really think it matters whether one is male or female or LGBTQ, what's important are skills, aptitude, attitude and performance - each one has the opportunity to make an impact.

Message to all the women of EEEI

Forget you're female. Most men will treat you as an equal if you think like one -- you don't need to be overly assertive, just be yourself and do your best. And don't set limits on yourself, many times the limits you think exist aren't really there. You go as far as you're willing to work for.

Accomplishments and advocacies that you may want to share to our EEEI Community
