Instrumentation, Robotics and Control Laboratory

The Instrumentation Robotics and Control (IRC) laboratory is a research and instructional facility for electronic instrumentation and control (I&C) at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute of the University of the Philippines in Diliman. Its current research thrusts are biomedical engineering, environmental monitoring, wireless sensor networks, and embedded systems and mechatronics.

The IRC laboratory was established in 1991 by Luis Sison (then a new instructor) with seed funds from the department. Laboratory heads were Rowel Atienza ('93-'97), Gleen Aduana ('97), Joe Rubrico ('97-'99), Luis Sison ('00-'06), Michael Abundo ('07-'08), and Marc Talampas ('08-present).
